What does a free call cost?
Nothing. Free public tools cost $0 with or without a key. Calls made with your key are listed in your console with the tool, provider, status, timing and cost.
Who pays the provider?
With your own provider account connected, the provider bills you directly and only our 10% + $0.50 fee comes out of credits. When Real World MCP pays the provider, credits cover the provider’s price plus the fee.
When do credits appear?
Checkout is hosted by Stripe. Credits are added only after Stripe’s signed confirmation of the payment reaches our server. A successful return page on its own adds nothing.
Can every directory entry run?
No. The directory includes research and external integrations. Only supported adapters with the required access can execute through this connector. Native public-data tools and federated public MCP servers are available now, and paid provider calls remain in dry-run mode until paid tools open.

Paid tools: prepaid credits
Some tools cost money or reach a real person or business: mail, calls, texts, fabrication orders. When paid tools launch through Real World MCP, they will use prepaid credits. Credits are not on sale, and paid provider calls currently return dry runs.
- Top up $25, $100 or $500 with Stripe Checkout. Credits are in US dollars.
- Our fee is 10% + $0.50 per paid call, added to the provider’s price.
- Before a call runs, we get the provider’s quote, add the fee and hold that amount from your balance. Your agent must confirm the spend and set a cap at or above the total.
- If the call succeeds, the hold is charged and you get a receipt: provider cost, our fee, total, your balance afterward and the provider’s reference. If it fails, the hold is released and nothing is charged.
- With your own provider account connected, the provider bills you directly and only our fee comes out of credits.
Example: a $40.00 provider quote plus a $4.50 fee holds $44.50 of credits. With your own provider account, $4.50 comes out of credits and the provider bills you $40.00.
There is no subscription and no monthly fee. Credits are not on sale yet. Top-ups open when paid tools go live, and until then every paid tool returns a dry run.
