Order a protein test with an AI agent

Yes. Adaptyv runs an official MCP server. An agent with your Foundry API token can send protein sequences to Adaptyv's wet lab and get binding (KD), expression or thermostability data back. Tests start at $149 per protein, with 2 replicates. Standard results take about 3 weeks.

Set it up

  1. Create an API token in the Adaptyv Foundry portal, under Organization → Settings → Tokens.
  2. Add Adaptyv's MCP server to your agent, with the token in the Authorization header.
  3. Ask the agent to draft the experiment and show you the price. The exact price depends on the assay.
  4. Approve it. You send sequences, not physical samples (check).

Keep a person on the spend

Every order here costs real money. Use your own account, and paste this rule into the chat or your agent's instructions:

Before you order or pay for anything, show me what you will buy, the exact price and where it ships, then wait until I reply yes. Never place more than one order per yes.

Adaptyv is listed in our catalog. Calling it through our connector returns Adaptyv's link, because we don't resell paid providers. See Adaptyv in the catalog.

“Live through our connector” runs through Real World MCP today. “Official MCP” is the vendor's own server. “Manual” means you or a browser use the provider's site. Prices are the provider's own and change. Browse every labs & biology entry.

Questions people ask

Can an AI agent order a protein binding test?

Yes. Adaptyv has an official MCP server. With your own Foundry API token, an agent can submit protein sequences and get binding, expression or thermostability results. Tests start at $149 per protein.

How long do results take?

About 3 weeks for standard delivery, per Adaptyv. A faster service, Adaptyv Prime, is in private beta.

Which other labs can an agent use?

Emerald Cloud Lab and Strateos have APIs for cloud lab work. Plasmidsaurus and Twist are ordered by hand on their websites.
